Sydney-based duo Geoff McGarvey and Glenn Heaton, composers of music for TV and theatre, have long been fans of relaxation music. Together they have created “Atmospheres”, a series of three CDs (Water, Forest and Space) featuring an ethereal blend of uplifting music and sounds of nature. As the name suggests, Water’s six energising tracks boast a myriad sounds of water—from waves gently crashing on a shore and the trickle of a flowing stream to the pitter-patter of rain—all subtly interwoven with flowing music from instruments such as the piano and guitar. Water provides a calming ambience, making it perfect as background music for your meditation or asana practice.
